Why it matters
Access can make or break a quote before you've priced anything
A driveway job and a floor screed for a new extension are entirely different jobs in scale and finish, and access matters just as much: whether a concrete lorry can actually get down a driveway changes the whole approach. A generic enquiry that just says "need concrete work done" gives you none of that, so a site visit ends up being the only way to find out what you're actually quoting for.
How it could work for you
Enough to know if it's a lorry job or a pump job
Enquiro asks what type of job it is, roughly how big the area is, and what access is like, right at the start. You can tell straight away whether this needs a full ready-mix lorry, a smaller pumped pour, or a site visit before you commit to anything, instead of finding all that out once you're already standing on the drive.
Example enquiry
“A homeowner having a single-storey extension built needs the floor screeded before the builders can start on the flooring.”
